Our client is a world leader in the production of Aluminium lithographic strip supplying blue chip clients globally. Our client is the only aluminium production facility in the UK serving this market, and one of only four in Europe. The company have clear plans to grow strongly in the future, at all times building on experience gained in demanding high quality flat rolled aluminium applications, to offer the customers new and improved products and solutions.
The company has two main products within the business: 1) Supplying Aluminium Printing Plates to the Lithographic print market customers include Fuji, Kodak & AGFA and 2nd is Foil Stock to companies like ALCAN for packaging.
Due to continued expansion and growth, the company has a new position for Four Electrical Maintenance Technicians. You will be responsible for:-
• Installation & maintenance of plant, Faultfinding & repairing of PLC & Drive systems. Reactive maintenance on breakdowns, installing (ideally commissioning) new plant during shutdowns, inspection of motors, condition monitoring, planned maintenance of all electrical systems & power distribution (3 -phase) mostly LV but also up to 11KV. Plant includes furnaces, rolling mill, annealing lines, stretchers, guillotines, cranes, conveyors etc
• PLC`s faultfinding & repair, debugging etc of Allen Bradley SLC500 & ControlLogix 500, Siemens S5 & S7. Drives ABB & Siemens AC & DC drives.
Continental shifts 2 days, 2 nights & 4 off - Basic = £21,000 + £3K SA. OT paid x 1.4 M-F & 1.7 weekends (plenty of OT covering holiday & additional days when not on shift to do ppm) Bonus is production*performance based up to 6% of salary paid monthly (circa £2,500*yr), Xmas bonus £300, Contributory Pension match employee up to 7%, sick pay increases with service up to 6 months paid, private healthcare.
